On May 12-14 a few hundred representatives of the world of logistics, from the scope of science and business alike, congregated in Poznan at the jubilee, 10th meeting of the Polish Logistic Congress Logistics&Eurolog 2010. This year’s event had a more international dimension, as it was combined with the ELA Logistic Congress.
Quantum software was honored to be the Premium Partner of the event. This year’s Congress was the perfect opportunity to recapitulate experiences and thoughts about the challenges facing logistics in view of the still present economic turmoil. In more than 50 speeches, the participants could share their opinions on the current situation in logistics, and the tendencies, which are likely to appear.
The increased involvement of all enterprise divisions, without any exceptions, into the creation of supply chains, partnership-based and flexible cooperation models, and the regionalization of supply chains were some of the interesting questions which were discussed. A significant part of the program was also devoted to the presentation and analysis of implemented logistic standards supporting the integrated supply chains. This year’s Congress also coincided with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of GS1 organization. Quantum is also a member of GS1 and offers logistic solutions supporting GS1 standards. |
