On 23rd July, the seminar entitled “Production logistics – how to gain tomorrow’s competitive edge today” was convened for the second time, this time in Warsaw. Quantum software, in cooperation with its Partners, developed topics which correspond with today’s market challenges: looking for the possibilities of the reduction of process costs and building the company’s competitive edge in the sector today.
In the course of the seminar, presentations were given, the authors of which, based on their own knowledge and experience, talked, among others, about the application of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in production logistics, the benefits of possessing information about product genealogy, the benefits of tracing the production in making and precise control of production processes. Particular interest was paid to the speech by Władysław Szczepankiewicz, from Cracow University of Economics, who pointed out the constituents of a functional and flexible system for delivery management. Numerous other interesting topics were touched upon, with the active contribution of the participants in the seminar. A truly interesting point in the meeting’s agenda were three simulation workshops, which let us, in a light and humoristic way, compare the traditional approach to production management with more effective methods of supporting, planning and controlling the run of production processes. The great number of participants who arrived in Warsaw proved that the topics we prepared are up-to-date and relevant. |
