From 2nd until 5th November the annual conference 2011 Research In Applied Computation Symposium was held in Miami, the United States. One of the research presented was an article “Safena and QBPM – a proposition for modeling and enacting processes in Supply Chain Network”, prepared together by the employees of Quantum and of Rzeszow University of Technology.
The study presents an advanced technology solutions applied by Quantum that are based on Eclipse GMF (Graphical Modeling Framework). The article describing the technologies mentioned was placed in the conference materials Proceedings of the 2011 Research in Applied Computation Symposium 2011 (RiACS 2011), University of Florida, 2011.
QBPM is a notation enabling a graphical description of business processes. It is based on a standard language BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation), which is currently acquiring a leading position among the tools used for flexible modelling of Information Technology systems in response to frequent changes in business models of entrepreneurs. QBPM facilitates the interpretation of original BPMN diagrams, created in open tools such as Eclipse GMF. The main purpose of creating QBPM was obtaining a solid and intuitive platform that will enable an implementation of variable processes in organisations of diverse needs within the scope of production logistics and SCM.
The solution suggested by Quantum provides a common language of process communication for analysts and information technologists and enables the elimination of bottlenecks, which are characteristic for other solutions available on the market.
QBPM technology is used by Quantum in their systems of QGUAR family.
